With wireless speeds of up to 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and 1200 Mbps on the 5 GHz band, the CryptHub V1 supports demanding workloads such as remote work, secure file transfers, video conferencing, and low-latency applications. VPN encryption is handled efficiently at the router level, allowing protected traffic to flow without significant performance impact.
Open-source firmware with professional configuration
Each CryptHub V1 router is delivered with the latest OpenWrt firmware pre-installed and professionally configured by Cryptvice. OpenWrt provides a transparent, Linux-based networking environment with full control over routing, firewall rules, and security services—without reliance on proprietary cloud platforms or vendor lock-in.
This approach enables long-term reliability, auditability, and flexibility, while maintaining a hardened default configuration focused on privacy, stability, and ease of use.
Encrypted VPN and optional Tor routing
The CryptHub V1 supports modern VPN technologies, including WireGuard® and OpenVPN, and can operate as both a VPN client and a VPN server. When VPN encryption is enabled, all traffic from connected devices is routed through an encrypted tunnel before reaching the internet, reducing exposure on ISP-level or shared infrastructure.
For advanced privacy use cases, Tor routing can be enabled for selected traffic. This allows users to apply different routing policies depending on sensitivity, balancing performance and anonymity where required.
Cryptvice pre-configures privacy-respecting VPN defaults while preserving full flexibility to integrate other supported services.
Network protection and traffic control
To strengthen network security, the CryptHub V1 includes a comprehensive set of protection and control mechanisms:

The CryptHub V1 supports failover and load balancing, allowing multiple internet connections to be managed intelligently. This ensures continued connectivity during outages or network degradation by automatically switching to a backup connection when required.
